No Hate in Hatboro

July 14, 2020

Just days after the new Hatboro township PRIDE flag was cut down and stolen, organizer Trish Marie Purdon brought the community together to show their support for the LGBT+ community during a rally/protest to send the message that there is no room for hate in Hatboro, PA. SAGA Community Center leaders were among the speakers at the event.

In a 4-3 vote Monday night, borough council approved an ordinance making it unlawful in Hatboro to discriminate against a person in matters of employment, housing, commercial property acquisition and public accommodations on the basis of that person’s sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression."
